As part of the original lineup of characters, the Combat Medic known as Lifeline has been a topic of debate among the Apex Legends community for years. Among the talking points is her Ultimate called Care Package. While the ability lets the Legend send in better gear for her team, many believe it is underwhelming. With this in mind, one fan thinks they have the perfect idea to buff her kit.

Recently, one fan of Apex Legends, known as dvtheall, took to Reddit to share an intriguing idea they had come up with for Lifeline. Specifically, they had developed a potential buff for her Ultimate. According to the Reddit user, the items in Lifeline’s Care Package needed to be revamped. Dvtheall proposed adding three new exclusive pieces of loot for her Ultimate, with one of the three being part of each package that is called in.
These new items included a Red Knockdown Shield, Red Shield Cell, and Red Syringe. Based on the descriptions provided by the Reddit user, the Red Knockdown shield would create a protective dome around a downed player, making it much more difficult to finish them off. In addition, the Red Shield Cell would give players 25 instant shielding while continuing to provide 75 more over time. Lastly, the Red Syringe worked the same way as the Red Shield Cell, except with health.
Unsurprisingly, many members of the Apex Legends community on Reddit have taken notice of this unusual buff idea for Lifeline. With over 800 upvotes in only a couple of days, many seemed to like the concept. “Really good idea, this would be useful at every stage in the game,” https-lewis said on Reddit. However, like with any proposed buff or nerf to a popular Legend, some were not so keen on the reworked ability, fearing it could make her OP.
It will be interesting to see if this new Lifeline Ultimate concept gains traction with the developers at Respawn Entertainment. In the past, the developers have not been afraid to alter the Legend’s kit. However, players might have to wait a while to see if this change makes it into the game, as it would likely take some time to implement.
Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A mobile version is available in some regions.
